I concur. Try as I might to resist. They got that Sarah Neufeld gal on violin. She's a looker...

This is, as far as my ears can tell, a near replica of Heart of Glass but an entertaining performance nonetheless.

That's my wife complaint - she says they are completely derivative and then names underground Czech bands no one outside of Brno has heard of. I reply that all great bands steal. And apparently the wife, Regine who is singing on that clip, is the musical genius as far as the arrangements, etc. I will say that live they are one of the best bands I've ever seen - incredibly infectious energy.

I don't think there's anything wrong with showing your influences. It's not like it's a totally shameless Led Zep class rip off anyway. You're right about the energy the band puts out - quite something.

At this day in age can anything really be totally new?

I forget who said it but I recall the quote - "It's all be done."

It does seem the trend now is to stick as many musicians on stage as you can and just go crazy.

Another band that brings 110% in the energy department.

Hey! I posted about Ed Sharpe many months back. ALso saw him, as well as AF, play at Henry Miller.

The cynical punk rocker left in me wants to smash that chic's head in for being so god damn happy all the time.

Is it possible someone can be that joyful and not be full of shite?

Yet, I can't get enough.

In the example you present I should say not!
